I think I spent most of my time reading or in the water this year....
This is just a generic vaguely Middle Eastern building; I got the idea from a book called Sandtiquities.
Sort of a shipwrecked boat....
My girlfriend's daughter wanted a Buddha, so I tried.
This castle was an immense waste of time. I wanted to make it look like a typical motte-and-bailey castle, but of course I couldn't remember the details well enough, and was overambitious.
This was actually my first attempt at a Buddha, but it kept looking more and more like just a fat person.....
Hey, I had to do something related to the sea:
I'd made a Mayan pyramid years before, but I wanted to try again. Plus, this is relatively easy compared to people or animals. I don't know what the deal is with the woman in the background. I think all she did was stand around and look at the water for several hours that day....
Obviously running out of ideas with this sea shell.
The snake with a full belly was just a joke, but turned out pretty good.
It's supposed to be the space shuttle.
A picture of the sunrise, taken as we were leaving to go home.
I saw this sunset while we were eating supper (or dinner if you prefer), and rushed out with the camera to get a picture.
