David K. Wall
Seems like everyone has a home page. Ok, here's mine. I don't often
update it, but you're welcome to take a look.
- When I do web stuff at home, most of my time goes into the Cincinnati Skeptics site, or the
Shire wiki.
- Some personal info about me.
- I've written a simple little BBS program named DarkBoard. It's rude, crude, and probably better left
unused, but I had fun writing it.
- I once wrote some science-oriented
haiku.
- Prisoner of Bill....
- The planets were roughly aligned on
May 5, 2000....
- I'm also interested in astronomy.
- Although I haven't paid much attention to using browser-safe colors on my personal pages, I am aware of
them, and played a bit with some HTML to display them in a manner that I
like better than what I've seen out on the net. I was too lazy to write
all the HTML, though, so I wrote a little Perl script to do it, which was
much more fun than repetitive HTML-coding.
- Some sand sculptures I made on vacation in 1997,
1998, and 1999, 2000
- I often hang around on the #shire channel when I'm
on IRC.
- I often store some silly things in a temporary
directory, and send the URL to friends. Mostly joke pictures. This is
probably the most-changed part of my site, since it requires almost no
effort. There may or may not be offensive things in there; you have been
warned.
- Unfortunately, it seems my most lasting and pervasive contribution to
net culture is a version of the voodoo dick
joke.
- Some really ancient jokes I put up back in the
mid-1990s. Some pretty vulgar stuff in spots. I haven't touched these for
years...

Other pictures of me
Interesting. I just noticed (Jan 11, 2001) that I have almost the same
expression, or lack of expression, on my face in the last two pictures,
even though I'm about 30 years older and have a beard in one of the pics. I
guess my attitudes to picture-taking haven't changed much since I was a
kid.
All photographs on my pages were taken by me, and so are automatically
copyrighted by me.
